Code Of Conduct For Players

The players are the most important people in the sport . Playing for the team , and for the team to win is the most fundamental part of the game . But not winning at any cost - Play fair and respect for all others in the game is most important.

Obligation's of the players

1,All players must abide by the rules of the game and the club.

2,Players must never challenge the decisions of the referee or officials.

3,Players must always shake hands of the opposing team and referee where possible after every game , win or loose.

4,Club jackets if provided must be worn to all club matches and activities.

5,Boots must be clean with studs in good condition.

6,Shin pads MUST be worn at all matches and training sessions . Failure to wear will result in non participation of the game or training session.

7,If your unable to attend training or a match you must inform your manager or another club official.

8,Punctuality is expected at all times.

9,Fighting , violent behaviour or foul and abusive language will not be tolerated by the club . Continual use of such could result in being asked to leave the club.

10,Any injuries must be reported to your manager or coach.

11,You must respect at all times your own , other peoples and the clubs property.

12,All team shirts,socks and shorts are property of the club and must be returned in full when leaving the club for whatever reason . If not returned a charge will be made for the full cost of replacing the kit to the player or the players parent/guardian.

13,Any player found to have any part of kit/equipment without authority will be reprimanded accordingly. 

Code Of Conduct For Coaches

Coaches are the key to the establishment of ethics in football . Their concept of ethics is there attitude which directly affects the behaviour of the players under there supervision . Coaches are , therefore expected to pay particular care to the moral aspect of there conduct.

The health,safety,welfare and moral education of young people are a 1st priority , before the achievementor the reputation of the club , coach or parent.

Obligations of the coach

1,Must respect the rights , dignity and worth of each and every person and treat each equally.

2,Must place the well being and safety of each player above all other considerations , including the development of performance.

3,Must adhere to all guidelines laid down by governing bodies.

4,Must develop an appropriate working relationship with each player based on mutual respect and trust.

5,Must not exert undue influence to obtain personal benefit or reward.

6,Must encourage and guide players to accept responsibility for there own behaviour and performance.

7,Must ensure that the activities are suitable for the age , maturity , experience and ability of all players.

8,Must at the onset clarify with players , and were appropriate parents , what is expected of them and what they are to expect from the coach.

9,Must always promote the positve aspects of the sport and never condone violation's of ''Laws of the Game''.

10,Must always and consistently display high standards of behaviour and appearance.

11,Must never use or tolerate innappropriate language or actions.  

Code Of  Conduct for Team/Club Officials

Please be advised that the code applies to all team/club officials although some items may not apply to all officials. 

Obligations towards the Game

1,Always set a positive example for others , particulary players and supporters.

2,Encourage players to play fairly and never condone violation of the laws of the game.

3,Promote and develop his/her team in having regard for his/her  team players and supporters.

4,Show respect to match officials and others involved in the game.

5,Never use or tolerate innappropriate language.

6,Rules of the game and those set by the TJFA must be abided by at all times.

Obligations towards the Team

1,Make every effort to develop the sporting , technical and tactical levels of the club/team.

2,Give priority to the interest of the team over the individual interest.

3,Never allow the use of unsporting influences.

4,Promote ethical principles.

5,Show due respect to the interest of players , coaches and other officials , at there own club/team and others.

6,conduct themselves in a way that they are role models for all players.

Obligation towards the Supporters

1,Show due respect to the interest of supporters. 

Respect towards the Match Officials

1,Accept the decision of the Match Official without protest.

2,Avoid words or actoins which may mislead a Match Official

3,Show respect towards the Match Official.

Code Of Conduct For Parents And Spectators 

1,The club and manager are responsible for the behaviour of both players and supporters before , during and after a game . Any players and supporters will be reprimanded for the breaking or infringemnet of the FA , TJFA and Club rules.

2,Parents and spectators must not at any time go onto the field of play.

3,Parents or spectators must never be drawn into any arguments or show any violent behaviour towards opposing players , club officials or supporters.

4,Alcohol is not allowed at any games or training sessions . Anyone seeming to be under the influence will be asked to leave immediately.

5,Always praise performance , even when beaten . No team likes to lose  but the performance is the striving to win not the win itself .

6,When the team is playing away please respect local residents i.e not blocking driveways and keeping the noise levels minimum .

7,The managers/coaches decision should never be questioned or challenged . Their decision may not always seem to be correct but they are only thinking of the best interest of the team .

Parents/spectators have a great influence on children's enjoyment and success in football . All children play football because the first and foremost love the game - its fun . It is important to remember to reinforce the message that positive encouragement  will contrbute to :-

Children enjoying football .

A sense of personal achievement .

Self esteem .

Assist to improve the child's skill and techniques .

A parents/spectators expectations and attitudes have a significant bearing on the childs attitude towards :

Other players .

Officials .

Managers .

Coaches .

Ensure that parents/spectators are always positive and encouraging towards all players , not just their own .

Applaud the opposition as well as your own team .

Avoid coaching the players during the game .

Do not shout or scream at players or officials .

Respect the referees decision .

Give attention to each of the players involved in the game and just the most talented .

Give encouragement to all players .

All parents/spectators must adhere to the clubs code of conduct .
